We have seen instances of Outlook 2003 filtering emails sent from Blackboard into the SPAM/Trash folder. To stop this from happening, you need to let Outlook know that it can trust emails from acomp.usf.edu .
To do this:
- Open Outlook
- Go to Actions -> Junk Email -> Junk Email Options -> Safe
Senders - Add acomp.usf.edu to the list
This will allow mail from the Blackboard servers to pass through to the inbox.

The “fix” doesn’t always work. Outlook still filters e-mails sent via Blackboard from USF accounts, although it appears that the number of instances has been greatly reduced. I still have to check my spam folder before emptying it, to make sure there aren’t legitimate student e-mails buried amongst the Viagra and Cialis ads!

How can I check my USF email?
By the way, I like the old website page better… It’s more users friendly.

If using WebOutlook, these setting can be accessed from the “options” tab.
