Spring Semester Course Sites Availability

All S07 course sites are currently available in myUSF. Instructor assignments —as specified in OASIS/Banner— for the upcoming semester begin on Wednesday, November 1st. Any content added to the S07 course sites prior to the beginning of the upgrade window will be migrated with the upgrade.

Student enrollment for the spring term begins after final exams, on Saturday, December 16th.

The AOI WYSIWYG Editor is unavailable in Blackboard. This means that existing AOI documents continue to be viewable by students and instructors and editable by instructors, but new AOI documents cannot be created via the pulldown menu (below).
AOI WYSIWYG Instructors will no longer see the AOI WYSIWYG Editor as one of the content types they can add to their course via the pulldown menu.

AOI WYSIWYG has been deprecated for more than two years now, since the upgrade to Blackboard 6.2. The tool has numerous problems, most pressing the inability to copy AOI documents between courses when doing a course copy. AOI documents that contain links to files will not be translated to reflect the new course_id, and those links will point to the old course.

Blackboard 6.3 introduced a new visual text editor for Internet Explorer users, and in 7.1 an even newer Visual Text Box Editor will be available for all web browsers. All users are encouraged to move existing AOI documents to some other supported Blackboard format.
